Possibly he thinks your statements reflect your personal belief rather than your thoughts on what American culture believes.

Before we all fall for your “conservative” appeal, let us put it in perspective with a question.

Are you still a Romney supporter...

Mormonism is wrong, regardless of the attitude that some perceive to be the case.

You seem to lump all of us in together, when that is not the case at all. We all speak out against Mormonism, we all get tired of the personal attacks when we attack an institution not the individuals, and we all care enough about individual Mormons to not let them go waltzing into hell without a fight.

Most Christians would applaud that.

There are separate planes of existence in life and on FreeRepublic.

We have an entertainment section called “General Chat” that covers a wide variety of topics. Guess what?....- there is no general concensus of opinions there. We have a “Smoky Back Room” where I am almost certain a good Mormon like you has never ventured. Guess what?... - there are knock down, drag out fights among freepers over there.

Then we have the religion section where Mormonism is one religion that is examined. It seems like your favorite ox is gored and you don’t like it. You’ve said your piece, and it seems that management here doesn’t really care about the 3.5 million (1% of the population) active Mormons in the U.S.A. About 90% of whom live and vote in Utah/Idaho/Nevada/and Wyoming and have very little impact on Federal elections. Many of them (like me) will remain conservative even after they leave Mormonism, because conservatism makes sense.

That’s the way I see things.

If the problem is ever cleaned up here, I will donate again.

So you will continue to use, but not donate to, FR until OUR right to free speech is surpressed?

I don’t JR would be in favor of suppression of free speech.

What does ‘sealed’ mean? Hermetically sealed?

Christians ain't what they used to be. The politically Correct culture has been creeping in.

Under the beliefs and ideals of modern American Chritianitiny Jesus sat down and "dialogued" with the money changers over cups of hot chai and organic tea cakes before going off to discuss with the other Rabbis revisions to the "Ten Really Good Suggestions" that Moses brought down from Sinai...

Sealed means ‘married for all eternity’. The LDS believe that marriages (and family units) continue in the next life and are required for exaltation (to become Gods).

The idea is that the person you are ‘sealed’ to, will become a God/Godess and the mother/father of your ‘spirit children’ which will then be sent down to their own earth, where they will sin and you will provide a savior and basically repeat what we are doing here.

No, I am not kidding, and I can source it upon request.

I keep telling people that it is a myth that the LDS are ‘reliable conservatives’.

They will throw conservatism under the bus if it will further the LDS church.
