Throw in some blessed candles and Holy water, and you should be almost set.

We could all probably manage to put together a Catholic survivalist guide that would be both highly...ahem...entertaining...as well as informative, huh?

Fun stuff! We have Holy Water in the cabinet, but no blessed candles except the children's baptism candles. I suppose I should get out the Leaflet Missal catalog ...

We could all probably manage to put together a Catholic survivalist guide that would be both highly...ahem...entertaining...as well as informative, huh?

If Catholics aren't doing the top three or four on the following list, they don't have to bother with the rest (as a survivalist guide, that is) ...

1. Daily (or as frequent as possible) Mass (reception of the True Body of Christ!)
2. Frequent Confession
3. Daily recitation of the Rosary
4. Adoration/fasting/suffering/using Sacramentals
5. Novenas, recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, etc.
6. Holy Water accessible (in fonts) in the home
7. A crucifix in every room of the house (blessed candles at the ready)
8. Bible, Catechism of the Catholic Church, Imitation of Christ (my personal favorite:)), holy books on the saints, blesseds, popes and angels available
9. 20+C+M+B+10 over the doors with blessed chalk

... and so on ...
