In his book entitled An Approach to the Book of Mormon, Dr. Hugh Nibley also mentioned this parallel as evidence to the fact that Smith had plates of gold. If the plates deposited by Moroni were really an alloy made primarily of copper, why go to such lengths? Everyone on this thread so far has ignored the obvious.

hummm. If he had all this divine strength how come he couldn't fight off the ruffians without dislocating his thumb? How where they able to knock him to the ground? Why was he outa breath? Why did he run in fear? Pretty wimpy for divine strength.
