We have a new pastor after 20 some years with the old pastor. It takes some getting used to—so far—not good. This priest begins every homily with a joke. I am very offended that he feels the need to tell a joke every single mass. I think I should just change parishes.
No where close to the same. If telling a joke is the worst of it, that’s easy. Buck up just as those of us who have associates from the Far East do (forget trying to understand the sermon). Systematically destroying a parish structure including telling a third generation parishioner to more or less leave the parish because his son had a problem with a teacher and forcing an employee to resign over a 20+ year old charge of which the employee was exonerated not once, but twice (it wasn’t even a crime), previously - that’s something else. Like I said - nothing to do with liturgical abuse.
