An open invitation to all to come to a Planned Parenthood, and protest and pray. I've witness one turnaround ("save") myself (at the time, there were approximately 200 people praying right outside PP's doors).

I sometimes wonder how these people do their jobs. I mean, going to work, aborting babies, and then coming home to make and eat dinner, then go to bed.

Satan's "baby" is abortion, and he works very hard at maintaining and deceiving his employees and patients.

So much prayer is needed. Come Lord Jesus ...

Imagine the conversation:

"How was your day today, dear?"

"It was great. I got to kill ten babies today."

"That's wonderful, dear."

"It didn't all go smoothly. A couple of them lived and we had to put them in the closet until they starved to death, but overall it went pretty well."

"Do you have anything planned for this weekend?"

"Yes, I have to go to the save the whales meeting. I still can't believe how moat people don't appreciate how important it is to keep theee beautiful animals alive."

...and stare their children in the eyes. Sometimes I wonder if they accidentally bring a knife into the bathroom when bathing them.

good point. I remember reading some writing by a Jewish Holocaust survivor who pondered how a Nazi could leave his work, covered in blood, and then enjoy the evening with his family while listening to classical music.

I thought of that too. I really did. But I didn’t put it down. Too chilling.

The amazing thing is that the people doing the abortions, the ones having the abortions, that they see themselves as the victims.

Obama said it best (He embodied this thinking with one statement), and there is a reason why this statement didn't get the criticism it deserved by society and the media, “I don't want them punished with a baby.” Obama 2008.

There is no saving of these people. It's a business deal, it's about convenience, it's about the most expedient solution to fix a perceived problem that was created through personal choice and behavior. The folks in the PP will look outside and think, “what kooks, Bible thumpers............” They do not think about the morality of their actions because they subscribe to a man made code of ethics which is really meaningless. Ethics always degenerates into the realm of mob rule and hedonism because their is no divine inspiration, no absolute, nothing that stands above all man made rules. Once you remove God from the picture, you can make people do anything and rationalize your behavior through what we today in government, education and business call “ethics.” Ethics is nothing more than the realization that rules beyond the written letter of the law are necessary in order for society to run, and even the most liberally deranged in American academia understand the need for this code of conduct. However, in a multi ethnic/cultural society like the US we choose to not teach morality because this includes a concept of “God.” In ethics, philosophers, psychologists and sociologists play God and create their own set of rules, but they are always flawed, being inconsistent in logic, inequitable, and cruel. It becomes nothing more than a relativistic mush that rationalizes that which we want, but their is no higher cause or propose, not even consistency as witnessed with the theory of “situational ethics.” Despite their smug belief in their superiority, them having filled the human void from God they created, they never seem to succeed with their theories, studies, etc......... The people at PP might have an epiphany some day and change their entire paradigm. Like many women that regretfully look back at what they did, some eventually understand the gravity and consequences of their decisions, but they will not be convinced by a vigil, arguments of morality, etc. They live in a secular world where they have their ethics and to them what they are doing even makes sense and is right somehow.

Morals= God defines right and wrong.
Ethics= Man defines right and wrong.

We live in an upside down world and those committing some of the worst atrocities see themselves as victims. Hitler saw Germany as the victim and Nazi Germany considered their final solution to be “ethical.” Be very careful with people who use the word ethics. Understand that while some might change over time and open their eyes to another world out there, this epiphany won't happen from a casual conversation or candle light vigil, they have an entire set of ethical doctrine in their head where all these ideas are interconnected and make perfect sense to them. The majority of these people are in fact by definition heathens and savages, though they will be insulted when called them out on what they by definition are. You will not convince a heathen and savage that lives into the day and is all wrapped up with nothing more than maximizing his personal pleasure, someone whose actually quite ignorant despite degrees and diploma's yet convinced of their greatness that they are flawed and need to fix themselves. People who are seduced with material and sexual pleasure don't see straight.

What do you hope to accomplish with a vigil?

Why not ask a heroin addict to stop? Why not ask a 4 year old kid over whom you have no control to stop eating candy? You're asking people to change their behavior but these people have convinced themselves of their superiority and righteousness. They are not listening. They are listening no more than an alcholholic who you're trying to help. Only once they accept their problem do you have a chance. If AA set up a vigil in front of a bar, the drunks inside would laugh at you. If someone set up a vigil denouncing gambling in front of a casino where addicts are spending their families food money they would laugh at you as well. They are over sexed, have little regard for morals, they see you as ignorant, and they are convinced of their evolved/progressive social view. They disassociate themselves with language of “medical procedures” that removes this “fetus” from them.......... People like this you always seem to pick up after they crash, after their hedonistic sex crazed, material consumptive world implodes on them. You help these people after they hit bottom, when their alcoholic binge destroys their life and their eyes begin to open. Don't waste your time- IMHO

When the priests prayed, some mothers chose Life instead. How can those prayers be considered a waste of time?

As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said when people mocked her and said she could never aid the large numbers of poor, she said, "I help them one at a time."

P.S. The devil loves when people adore him and he loves when people ignore him ... through both avenues, much evil is accomplished ...

Bernard Nathanson wrote that one of the things that led to him turning away from abortion was when he played tennis with a young man he had almost killed through abortion years before (the boy’s mother changed her mind at the last minute).

Little faith you have...one person praying can suspend the natural law. When I did pro-life work, through prayer, 3 clinics were closed down. Never underestimate the power of prayer and God’s power.

These PP places hide behind technical names that attempt to suck the life out of the living. They set up their offices off the beaten path and the people using these places slink in and out anonymously. The reason why you were successful is because you took away the anonymity. But do you really think you changed these people on either side, those performing this procedure or those that seek it? They just slither around

You can't help those that don't want to be helped. You can't force an alcoholic to change. You can't force the womanizer to change. You can't make the gambler stop. Most convicts in prison have no concern for what they did, they in reality feel sorry for themselves. You can't convince these people of much until they hit rock bottom, and they almost all do eventually in different ways. Eventually, the lies, lusciousness, the selfish and irresponsible behavior catches up with most of these folks. It almost always does, and then you pick up the pieces and they tend to be receptive. Like a kid that has to fall on his face before he listens, these folks have to tumble before they do, because whatever bad behavior they are engaging in makes them feel good. You're asking a hedonist (maximize pleasure) to stop and they have no interest, no concern, no care about what you're saying or believe in. They are simply embarrassed. Why do you think they want that abortion in the first place? In 90% of the cases they simply want to do away with this inconvenience in the most expedient way without their friends etc knowing about it. There is no medical need, it's not because there aren't thousands out there willing to adopt, because of medical expenses......... It's PURE hedonism. The hedonist will not stop his behavior until he himself is affected by the destruction he creates. He's only interested in maximizing his own personal pleasure.

"Slither" is a good word!! But I think it's more the owners/workers (financial gain!) of PP that slither around. There are many women (last I read 70-some percent) that have said they were coerced into abortion and/or not given proper information as to the trauma it leaves in its wake. So I think praying in front of a PP is a way Jesus (not me, never me!) helps women reverse their plans. I feel it's too defeatist to give up on these women, not only to help save their child, but to save them a lifetime of regret. From personal experience, I can tell you that just one arm extended to me (just one!) would have saved the life of my child ...

That's a good point.

Most probably are to some degree coerced into it and we also as a society do a great deal to suppress what this really is: hiding the results (the discarded baby), trauma (to the mother), options (If the baby were born), development of the baby, etc etc etc. We do a great deal to “hide” what it is that is actually taking place, hiding the people who do it, those that get it done, hiding behind technical names may it be when describing the baby/process etc. Even the name PP is a deception that relies on language to hide what it's true business is. Coercion and deception are powerful forces that surly will push someone in fear to do things they otherwise might not do if in a clear state of mind and knowing truly what it is they are doing.

When I go to a vigil, one of my hopes is that a passerby will remember, should they ever find themselves in a 'predicament', that help other than abortion is available.
