Catholics were put to death in England by their king—circa 50,000 in number. I recently watch the Showtime series, "The Tudors" and was reminded again of the barbarism of Henry VIII and of the times. To think that the deaths of all those Catholics and Reformers were started when Henry got the urge to bed a woman not his wife.
