Actually, he did not cancel it. It still was observed. He just did not allow the National Day Of Prayer breakfast to be held in the WH, and he did not attend where it was held. However, he issued a proclamation declaring the day a National Day of Prayer, to cover his behind. Attending the National Day of Prayer breakfast was begun by Bush, Senior...and continued by Clinton and GW. Obama has never attended.
