"Miss Marks, a native of Queens, N.Y., graduated from Harvard University this past semester with an undergraduate degree in classics and English, delivering her commencement address in Latin."
I always wanted to deliver my valediction in Latin, but unfortunately, I didn't make the cut. Kudos to Sr. Marks on her academic excellence and for her discernment of vocation!

The words in the video are largely unintelligible to me, but her beautifully expressive face tells much of the story.
One of my best friends growing up graduated Harvard in 3 years, and then became a priest. He worked at the Vatican for several years and is now a bishop back here in the states. Smartest kid in school, nicest guy in school, best artist in school, and I was in love with his mom. :)
God Bless this beautiful young woman! The Church could use a million more like her!

Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Harvard's Valedictorian to Become Dominican Nun
Miss Marks, a native of Queens, N.Y., graduated from Harvard University this past semester with an undergraduate degree in classics and English, delivering her commencement address in Latin because she wanted to target to all those in the audience who are from LATIN AMERICA.
