I was referring to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). You would not believe how many Catholics show up there (divorced of course). The feature is most of the DOC churches let them do Novenas ~ and engage in the kind of Bible study they like.

Still, the DOC had a closed communion, and baptism by immersion, and you could just transfer in unless it had been by immersion.

I've heard of the RC churches with the immersion pools though. Not sure if we have one around here.

Now, about the Shroud of Turin, it's definitely one of the great mysteries ~ and if not of supernatural origin it's definitely the first photographic negative ~ and several hundred years before the next one!

I reread your post and figured you were talking about a non catholic baptism...One of my son's 2 son's were baptized by immersion, they are evangelicals....the rest of my children are Catholics that attend Mass every sunday, 2 of my daughter in laws have priests for uncles....I started out Lutheran as my family were not church goers. I still love many things about the Catholic church, I loved the Latin Mass, but I now go to no church...

Sometimes the disputes between the different denominations on Free Republic can be quite intense, but also quite sad to me that such venom can come out of the different sects of Christianity....but since I don't go to any church, its really none of my business. I would not deliberately offend any of the different churches, but have had a post of mine deleted...guess I am not always diplomatic as I should be....Have a great Sunday (its raining where I am at)
