Why does any church ex-communicate people?

Couldnt this rant be directed at Catholics or any other church that uses excommunication as a punishment?

You make an assumption in the form of a question, then use the assumption with no proof to try and paint a group as hypocrites.

Sure, any legalistic church can be in the cross hairs.

I was born Catholic but I recognize that they are also a very legalistic church.

Your point is what? Catholics are “Also” wrong. OK sure, Catholics are just as wrong as the LDS church when it comes to legalisms. Now What?
