Well this is frustrating...

We take part in Christ’s Passion BY DYING TO SIN, and in His Resurrection BY BEING BORN TO A NEW LIFE. Do you see what’s printed there? Christ died, we die to sin: Christ rose, we rise to new life.

As for what the Body of Christ is... I really dislike dueling Scriptures but I’m sort of stuck with it here: 1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it.” Try as I might I can’t even figure out what you’re trying to get across. The Church as the Body of Christ is perhaps THE standard analogy.

To whom was St. Paul writing? Who’s that “you” in “you are Christ’s body”? The IRS? The Moose? The Elks?

The Apostle Paul is writing "you" which refers to the believers in the Body of Christ, in Paul's day; it is not the Catholic church which Paul writes to. It can only be believers that Paul wrote to since Paul did not predict the Catholic church and wrote "you" in reference to Catholics.
