I agree, and it bothers me that John Carr is still at the top. He’s they guy who has been making all these dicey grants over the years, his friends and staffers circulate on their boards Chinese-fire-drill style, and I really think that if Bp Morin meant business, Mr. Carr would be outta there.

Oh, yes, you’re right. Flagrant dissent has consequences where justice is present, so Carr goes, right after he publically expresses sorrow and the apology for the scandal.
(Didn’t read the whole thing, so maybe he did.) But he goes.
Trust is quite broken between the USCCB and the scandalized and sadly even their competence is brought into question to make even the simplest ethical decisions regarding Conference staff, personnel and committee heads.
