Yeah, I took German in high school for 4 years. One of the things we had to do was read the German newsmagazine, Bünte, where a lot of their articles dealt with the "Turkish Problem." I studied German from 1981 to 1985, I graduated in 1985 from high school so I remember the controversy this brought up in the early 1980's.
The mantra at the time was that an influx of foreign workers wouldnt be a problem and they will do jobs that Germans wont do.
Yeah, it is the same with the illegal alien problem here.
