In my state, an evangelical Christian couple locked their adopted Russian son in an unheated room and he died of hypothermia.
Do we draw conclusions about evangelicals? Agnostics? Catholics? Jews? Whatever? Because we can find fatally abusive parents in each group.
The woman is/has been in a position of "Stake" authority in the (Children's) Primary organization. A Stake organization oversees a number of local "wards", or congregations.

There are certainly enough FR threads posted on Catholic priests of local organizations.

I agree. There are plenty of official teachings and standard practices in Mormonism to criticize. There is no need to lay the guilt for this at the doorstep of the Mormon so-called church when it is clearly not the normal intention or result of their teaching.
