I really liked this teaching course by Samuel Green. I got a chance to see Samuel in a debate and it was really good. Here is some description text from the site.

Islam has become an important worldview to understand and respond to. Even if you don’t know a Muslim you may be asked questions about Islam, or have questions yourself. Engaging with Islam equips Christians to understand Islam and to engage effectively with Muslims and those who make comments about Islam or have questions. Its goal is to help you to stand firm as a Christian, to defend the gospel and to address issues quickly and confidently. It not only considers Islam but examines and defends key Christian teaching.
You can do this course individually, as a church group, or as part of leadership training. Anyone can lead this course as no previous knowledge of Islam is required and leader’s notes are provided. To run the course you need the DVD to show to the group, and a copy of the workbook for each participant.
There are seven sessions, and each is a mix of preparation, group discussion and a DVD presentation. The session notes are in the workbook. Each session takes between 60 to 70 minutes.

“The Closing of the Muslim Mind” by Robert Reilly is an excellent, recently published book that goes into the history of Sunni Islam and explains why it has committed intellectual and philosophical suicide. Knowing how they got to where they are explains a lot. Too bad our leaders aren’t reading the book and understanding the implications of Islamic thought. The book not only details the history and “schools” of Sunni thought, but he also gives a wide array of details, facts and data on the impact is has had on the Muslims in recent history.

Thanks chickenlips. I bookmarked the page for this book on amazon and will soon read the reviews and see if a preview is on Googlebook to read and post on my blog. Sounds like it will be a great read and essential to my study on Islam. I know Islam is anti-intellectual and thus will always be stuck in the 7th century, relying on the rest of our technological advancements. THANKS AGAIN
I have no desire to engage with islam at all, except as one engages with an enemy, militarily to force his total capitulation.
