Not to toot my own horn, but I’m a Vietnam vet who will finally be forced to retire next month from the reserves, and phony vets of any stripe really get my goat!
Moran would not be the first elected official to pad his resume with fictitious military service, if his Congressional bio turns out to be accurate.
His last campaign was against a challenger with 24 years of active military service - it would be surprising if he hadn't highlighted any authentic service he rendered.
Though resume-padding seems to be a Moran habit.
Every article refrring to his father describes Moran Sr. as a "professional football player." He played a few games with the short-lived Boston Redskins franchise the year after he graduated college.
