“He that sent me is with me.” The action of God in me is the Christ of my being and on this Christmas Day, I pay tribute to Jesus who is the world’s greatest example of God’s action through humanity.
Two thousand years have passed since a Larger Light came into the world and told us of our spiritual freedom to accomplish our heart’s desires. These years have not been in vain, for gradually we have come to a larger understanding of God and of our own Christ Self. I now dedicate and consecrate myself to the teachings of this man of Nazareth.
On this Christmas Day I let Christ rule my heart, mind, and affairs. I see the new birth of Love in all people and in all events. All the beauty of Christmas is mine to behold. All the Love of Christmas is given unto me.
Each card and each gift brings me love, and they bless me with the knowledge of my own birth of Truth. I shall be like the Wise Men and follow the eternal Star of Truth. I shall be like Mary and Joseph and watch carefully over this new inner dawning of Life.
I make my mind a stable and welcome the Christ Idea of perfect spiritual person. I give the gifts of my attention, my love and my substance to this Idea born within me. I am open to the Divine this day. I let God be born into my thinking and feeling.
I share this birth to a higher understanding with all people everywhere. I revere the memory of Jesus, and let his teachings be in me a Light unto my world, and others seeing my good works shall find the Light of Truth within themselves. This is the day of Christ, the day of Truth, the day of birth into greater Good.

Ernest Shurtleff Holmes (1887–1960) was an American writer and spiritual teacher. He was the founder of a Spiritual movement known as Religious Science, a part of the New Thought movement, whose spiritual philosophy is known as “The Science of Mind.”
He was the author of The Science of Mind and numerous other metaphysical books, and the founder of Science of Mind magazine, in continuous publication since 1927. His books remain in print, and the principles he taught as “Science of Mind” have inspired and influenced many generations of metaphysical students and teachers.
Holmes had previously studied another New Thought teaching, Divine Science. Holmes was an ordained Divine Science Minister.[1] His influence beyond New Thought can be seen in the self-help movement.

His mind is indeed a stable and not a pristine one. I spent a number of years associating with these mind science people. they are at best Universalists, at worse pantheists.
Christ is not born in us nor is he God’s highest form of human intervention. Christ is God, inseparable and eternal. We can in no way become Christ.

Unfortunately, BS is a relatively accurate assessment, if one believes, as I do, that the traditional Christian concepts of a transcendent Creator God and a unique historical Christ are true and the opposing concepts of pantheism and a universal Christ-consciousness are false. Belief in a righteous Creator God who condemns our sin and offers us salvation through the literal death and resurrection of the historical Jesus is not optional for a Christian. One cannot believe Holmes and believe as a Christian at the same time.
The problem is, if Holmes is right, none of us were going to hell anyway, and Christ’s death and resurrection did not atone for sin or open the way to eternal life, but merely demonstrated the power of mental enlightenment to vanquish the illusion of material limitations. This is rather like the Gnostic theory of salvation, and is quite alien to the Biblical account of God’s purpose in Incarnation and Atonement. If one is true, the other must be false. For my part, I will side with the Biblical Jesus, the living Jesus of history, who taught through his apostles that those who adopt Gnostic doctrine denying the material reality of Jesus the Messiah are antichrist. See 2 John 1:7.
BTW, antichrist is a widely misunderstood term. The prefix “anti” can mean “against” but also expresses the idea of “instead of,” i.e., a counterfeit Christ. Surely retrofitting the word “Christ” to point us to our own, sinful inner being, rather than point us to the Risen Savior come to atone for our sin, is a vile substitution of false for true, and calling it BS is being more gentle than it deserves.
The most knowledgeable of men see the world in a very incomplete fashion.
Only God the creator is capable of understanding what he made.

The reason institutions of men always fail, is mans inability to understand how everything is tied together. Incomplete knowledge.
I am sure the Creator looks at us daily and laughs at our missplaced arrogance and ignorance.
God never meant for man to be able to “reason” through this faith thing. It simply does not work. Acceptance on faith is all we have.
Like you, I will accept the Biblical method, not man’s.

I agree. This is New Age Theology. There is a seductive quality in it. Who would not want to be as god?
May we receive the true message of Christ’s birth this Christmas: That God so loved us that he gave us the gift of his Son. And through Jesus Christ we receive the good news of the washing away of our sins and eternal life.
My path to Christ began with Atheism, then Pantheism, then Occultism/Theosophy, then Religious Science, and finally Christianity. There were things to learn each step of the way and having a knowledge of other beliefs allowed me to compare them intelligently with Christian Theology against which they are very weak at best. Atheism and Pantheism are not much different than each other, and effectively they are exactly the same, but occultism reveals the existence of supernatural world and the afterlife, which is crucial to Christianity, and Religious Science gets one thinking positively and in gratitude for Gods blessings.
I actually look fondly on my brief experiment with Religious Science, but yes I agree, RS theology is Christianity and water.
I NEVER question anyone’s religion, even if it is out in left field, because it is not my place on Earth to do so. I simply have a problem with anyone calling someone else’s belief , “BS!”

This sounds like "Christian " Science /new age thought.This does nothing to honor The Son of God made man, not an EXAMPLE, but the Savior of the world.. Words mean things.....this man is no Christian honoring Christ..

Contrast (and learn from) the apostle John who, by contrast, attended closely to Jesus' teaching: "Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son" (1 John 2:22).

You can't believe Ernest Holmes and Jesus. It's an either/or.
But it IS our place to stand and defend true Christian doctrine as against false:
2 John 1:9-11 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
While any such rebukes against false doctrine must be done in a context of love (See Ephesians 4:14), they are obligatory on Christians, as we are commanded to always be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in us (See 1 Peter 3:15 et al). The notion that we cannot/should not judge false doctrine as false is not a Christian idea but a kind of postmodern “bipartisanship” with the Devil, which God never recommends, and in which we always lose far more than we gain.
