It's hard to trust anyone after living in a cult, isn't it ? Even just a pastor for a sunday lesson.
I chose the Anchorage Cowboy Church because I'm comfortable around country folk, they're not the pushy salesman type, and they use the New King James Bible.
So far, so good....And it's ok to drink a coffee during the sermon. ;)
What!!
HERETIC!

Glad to hear both Sentinel! As a nevermo, I can only relate to what I've read regarding the trust factor being damaged upon leaving mormonism. After all the teaching of the only true church - and being burned by it and all. Many exmormon sites have an abundance of atheists/agnostics. Good to have you finding a church home where you can fellowship with other Christians and heal. Being able to drink coffee during the sermon is bonus!
Good to hear, fellowship is important for spiritual growth even though our salvation is not dependant upon it.
And it is very hard to trust after coming out of a cult. I have some friends who attended a cowboy church (the husband was saved at one from Mormonism) for many years and spoke highly of the movement.
