So, in the "united Christian front" would female or gay clergy be OK? Would abortion be permissible? Would recognition of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharistic Host be optional?

Orthodox Lutheran churches refuse to be in communion with members of the Lutheran World Federation and the Catholic Church should do the same.

Yes, that's probably going to happen. I see no hope for the Lutheran Churches in Scandanavia or Germany. It's better for the LCMS or WELS to send across missionaries to them
