Historic Lesbian Marriage in Boston Cathedral Unites Top Clergy of Episcopal Church

The historic marriage of Episcopal Divinity School, dean and president, the Very Reverend Katherine Hancock Ragsdale and Mally Lloyd, Canon to the Ordinary, took place today at the Cathedral Church of St Paul in Boston.

The Episcopalian bishop of Massachusetts began 2011 by solemnizing the first lesbian marriage - of two senior Episcopalian clergy - at Boston's St Paul's Cathedral Saturday (January 1).

The marriage of Episcopal Divinity School, dean and president, the Very Reverend Katherine Hancock Ragsdale and Mally Lloyd, Canon to the Ordinary, was the first lesbian marriage solemnized by the Right Reverend M Thomas Shaw SSJE, Bishop Diocesan of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.

At the marriage attended by close to 400 guests, Bishop Shaw commented: “God always rejoices when two people who love each other make a life long commitment in marriage to go deeper into the heart of God through each other. It’s a profound pleasure for me to celebrate with God and my friends, the marriage of Katherine and Mally.”

The couple met on June 30, 2008, at the urging of a mutual friend. At the time, Canon Lloyd, 57, said, “We were both travelling a lot and so we would talk by phone. And somehow when you talk a lot by phone, a relationship can go deeper more quickly than when you spend time in person. At least that is what happened to us.”

Although this is a second marriage for Canon Lloyd, it is the first for Dean Ragsdale,52. “It’s astonishing how the world is changing,’’ Dean Ragsdale said, “when I grew up, I never believed I would be able to have someone special in my life and now to have almost 400 people show up to support us at our marriage ceremony is wonderful.”

Canon Lloyd says: “We have a lot in...........

"Abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Let me hear you say it: abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Abortion is a blessing and our work is not done."

That was the Rev. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale in 2007, repetitiously inciting her disciples to be not just pro-choice but fanatically pro-abortion. This is significant because, according to standard journalistic stylebooks, Ragsdale does not exist. We're told that pro-choice folks don't like abortion; they're just trying to help a woman facing tragedy.

Ragsdale, though, says abortion is a "blessing," and not only in harsh situations but good ones: "When a woman becomes pregnant within a loving, supportive, respectful relationship; has every option open to her; decides she does not wish to bear a child; and has access to a safe, affordable abortion—there is not a tragedy in sight—only blessing. The ability to enjoy God's good gift of sexuality without compromising one's education, life's work, or ability to put to use God's gifts and call is simply blessing."

SICK SICK SICK FREAK~!

That church can never be Christian. It is infiltrated by Satan and all that is ugly and demeaning and nihilistic in the world. They turn the Bible upside down and urinate on it. Shame on them.

You can not distort and change the Bible to the degree they have done it and still claim it is Christian. So deluded and illogical.

The Episcopalian Church is no longer a Christian denomination. I have a friend who went through an Episcopal seminary. While he was there he was taught that most of the Christian faith was "myth", that "abortion is a blessing", that homosexuality is completely compatible with scripture, and even that homosexuality is a way to "elevate humanity to a higher plane of existence."

He left the church disgusted. Look at the Communist goals of the 1950s and 60s. Destroying cultural institutions, including infiltrating the church, was a goal that they have gone a long way to accomplish.

If we do not reverse course, God will destroy this nation.

I was house sitting for a friend this last week and discovered cable TV.

There was a program in which a gay man and a woman went around changing the way people dressed. They help them become glamorous or some such nonsense. Anyway, this one program focused on their helping a very young woman who was an ordained episcopal priest. Lots of shots of her wearing clothing looking in a full length mirror, a few smirking comments from the hosts about making points to enter heaven and so on. At one point early in the program these two met the womans mother and some other homosexual episcopal priest to discuss the young girl.

Lots of talk about how the girl wanted to meet someone, get married, how priests dress blah, blah blah. I could not take it anymore and turned the channel. I was so shocked I just turned the channel.

One reads about the reaction Christ had to the money changers in the temple...one wonders what his reaction to active, homosexuals priests pretending to be married would be?

I am not a member of the Episcopal Church, I'm Catholic. My heart goes out to the members of the Episcopal Church, its enough to bring tears thinking of what has happened to that once great institution.

What did your friend end up doing after he left the seminary?

I know a young married couple who were on their Episcopal church council. She told me that the members of this council vote on ordaining or accepting a new priest ( I do not recall exactly ). They voted against the man as he was an active homosexual and the married couple was soon off the council and ostracized in the church. Total silent treatment for them.

After a lot of prayer they finally joined the Catholic Church and are quite happy.

The Episcopal church didn’t want him as much as he didn’t want them. They thought he was too conservative and “intolerant”. While he got his degree, they never put him through the rest of his confirmation process. I know he was looking at getting into the ACNA after he left the Episcopal Church.

All of these liberals are very immature people who never had to grow up and are living in a perpetual mutual admiration society that they consider to be wonderful and exclusive. They know they scandalize god fearing people, and they fancy themselves “very intelligent” and enlightened. I don’t know anything to do but cry out to the Lord about all of it and to pray for them to have their eyes opened even if it takes chastisement.

I’m a former member of TEC who is now a Catholic. I finally got tired of watching the leftists destroy TEC, and so I converted.

Many many more Anglicans are going to convert to the Catholic faith after the new ordinates are established.

NOT! God will not bless, nor rejoice, at something like this that He condemns so clearly in Scripture. Check out Romans 1, among many other place in the Bible. They are fooling themselves into thinking this pleases God at all!!!

The gay movement taking over government and churches? Yes I think it is an abomination which brings desolation. Especially when this is in relation to church leaderships. The leaders stand in positions in the church where they should not be standing. In doing so they are mocking GOD.
