Revelations 20:11 (the "White Thrown" passage) Come on . Is this the best they got for our "Judgment"? You are kidding. !! You are saved or you are not. If Christ did not Atone for our sins then this whole thing is a joke and He died for nothing.

the "White Thrown" passage

You wouldn't be referring to the preponderance of white quarterbacks in the NFL would you?

If Christ did not Atone for our sins then this whole thing is a joke and He died for nothing.

We Christians don't joke about the Passion of Our Lord.

Even if you are saved and go to heaven your rewards are determined by how you spent your time, treasure and talent while here on Earth.

Read what Jesus said to his disciples who complained about the woman who poured perfume on his feet.

Now ask yourself, do you think that woman went out from Jesus’ presence and “went back to work?” No.

I am not saying she never sinned again, no I am saying that thinking you can continue in your sin without suffering is not biblical, either,

But please, do not miss understand me, it's not a issue of salvation it's an issue of what we will reap in this life, and beyond. Be not fooled, when you sow wild oats, wild oats grow, not cherry trees. The good news is ....... God still loves you and your security (of the believer) is unshakable.

The only unforgivable sin is that of rejection of God. (Grieving the Holy Spirit).

Excuse me, but the White Throne judgment is ONLY for non-believers. We, who have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, will be raised at the time of the Rapture some 1007 years before the White Throne (7 years of Tribulation and 1000 years of Millenial Kingdom). At the time of our death/rapture, we believers will face the judgment seat of Christ, where our actions will be judged and rewards will be awarded, but our final destination, heaven, was assured from the time we accepted Jesus!

Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Lest any man boast. I can just see God who saved us and denies our boastful works handing out ribbons for works in heaven. This is a massive contradiction. Won’t happen.

No, I’m just gonna bury my money in a jar in the backyard. I am afraid of the guy and just want to be done with it. Maybe if I make a couple of bucks with it I’ll be ok. . . .

I don’t know about you, I won’t have anything to boast about! The New Testament describes at least 5 crowns that believers may receive. I want to see how many I can get... where I can cast them at the feet of Jesus.

It is so obvious that this legalism is contrived and designed to confuse and return to bondage those that are totally saved. If you don’t do that you don’t get a lot of donations on Sunday. I think it is from the devil.

Salvation is a gift (John 3:16; Eph. 2:8-9), and there is absolutely nothing a person can do to save himself. The only thing any person has to do is to receive Jesus by faith.

Rewards are a different thing. Believers will be rewarded according to their faithful stewardship.

There are five crowns mentioned in the New Testament that may be earned by a believer:

1. THE INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN (I Cor. 9:25: given for faithfully running the race for Jesus and being temperate in all things.

2. THE CROWN OF REJOICING (I Thess. 2:19): given to faithful soul-winners.

3. THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (II Timothy 4:8): given to all who are in love with the second appearing of Jesus.

4. THE CROWN OF LIFE (Revelation 2:10): given to martyrs for His name.

5. THE CROWN OF GLORY (I Peter 5:4): given to faithful pastors.

1 Cor. 9:24 --> Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

For every verse that seems to teach eternal security, I can give you five that shows that it is not scriptural.

Earlier, someone quoted, Romans 8:1. Yet, You have to read the context: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,[b] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.[c] And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.”

Jesus says in John 10, “My sheep hear my voice . . . they listen to me . . .”

1 John 3:6, “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.”

1 Cor. 6:9, “Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders . . .”

Wouldn’t the word of God say about the above list, “Unless you’ve been born again?” if it didn’t matter how you lived your life?

I believe that we are eternally secure as we walk in Christ. We are saved by grace through faith, not by works lest any man should boast. [however] We are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works.
Read Ephesians 2:8-10.

Although we are saved by grace, unless we’re walking the talk, we’re only fooling ourselves.

One last verse: (I could give you many more) Jesus said, “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

I’m not trying to argue—just share the truth.

The only way to prove that you believe is to live consistent with that belief.
If you think you can simply declare your belief and then cruise, you might want to explore the following:

Matt 7:21 - not everyone saying “Lord, Lord” will inherit the kingdom of heaven
Matt 24:13 - those who persevere to the end will be saved
Romans 11:22 - remain in his kindness or you will be cut off
Phil 2:12 - work out your salvation in fear and trembling
1 Cor 9:27 - drive your body for fear of being disqualified
1 Cor 10:11-12 - those thinking they are secure may fall
Gal 5:4 - separated from Christ, you’ve fallen from grace
2 Tim 2:11-13 - must hold out to the end to reign with Christ
Hb 6:4-6 - describes sharers in Holy spirit who then fall away
Heb10:26-27 - if you sin after receiving the truth, judgement remains

I think that’s what ails some people (and I’m not talking about you, I don’t know you). But they seem to think “I’m saved, there’s nothing else I need to do”. Yes, we are saved, but if we are saved we obviously love Jesus, and if we love Him we obey His commands! It’s great to be saved, but we have our whole lives ahead of us. I’m not going to sit on my salvation, I intend to live for Jesus. I know certain things I do will be rewarded in heaven, but I could not do them in the first place if I hadn’t been saved and if He didn’t strengthen me. I won’t deserve those crowns, I’ll cast them at His feet. But I would like to have several to cast, with all my love!
