Salvation,
I understand the process, which is either false, or a poor choice of words.

If someone is not a saint before they depart the earth by
knowing Christ as their Savior, they do not become a saint
afterward. This includes the latest John Paul.

This presumes someone values the Bible. If not, a saint
can be whatever you wish it to be...

I had seen all those threads about the upcoming making Blessed of John Paul II. He is on the fast-track to sainthood, he even beats the previous holder, Blessed Mother Teresia by about two weeks.
