I personally don't really care whether it's halal or not, because I don't recognize their "god." There is only one God, and "allah" ain't it. So IMO they can face Mecca when they slaughter the animal, or they can face Dubuque, IA. Doesn't mean anything to me. I'm sure we have atheists, wiccans, buddhists, etc. also processing food products. I don't care if they chant druid prayers or bark at the moon, so long as what I'm buying isn't tainted.

And if I want pork products in my food, that's what I'll buy.

Now I don’t know how similar halal is to kosher-—but kosher beef is usually dry because all the blood is drained from the cow. I like my beef rare....and hell, I like pork too much anyway.
