A city's official condemnation of Roman Catholic Church teachings as "discriminatory," "insulting," "callous" and "defamatory" is being taken to the U.S. Supreme Court because of the Constitution's requirement that government not be "hostile" to faith.
The case stems from a 2006 non-binding resolution from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors that called the Catholic Church's teachings "an insult to all San Franciscans" and accused the Vatican of being a "foreign country" that "meddles with and attempts to negatively influence this great city's existing and established customs and traditions."

Since San Francisco is named after a Roman Catholic saint, the Roman Catholic Church should sue the city for trademark violation in the use of the name without permission.
Maybe they should just change the name of the city and erase other religious references in landmark names (except those refering to the likes of Anton Lavey).

I guarantee there will be a lot of praying and accepting help from the Catholic church after the Big One levels San Francisco once again. The communist LBGT elitist city council would do well to brush up on the history of Sodom and Gomorrah.
It is not a question of “if” but of when the 8.0-8.5 magnitude quake hits. It is to their credit that the Catholic Church will be right at the front of the line helping the formerly apostate/now suddenly converted quake victims.

You know I do understand you comments and my first thoughts defiantly go in that direction, but with some thinking I really believe God gave us freedom of choice and really wants us to stand on our own. We are about to see a testing no one can believe is truly coming. With this said I do not think he will punish, but rather allow our actions to come to full attrition. He will judge us on how we as individuals react and fulfill his Will. Sadly many will fail the test for they have forgotten the face of our Father and are going to another!
