God is not mocked. He does not endorse debauchery. The Catholic Church has fallen from grace. Jesus said “by their fruits ye shall know them”. When the fruit becomes rotten the LORD has left. Do not put your faith in your church but rather in the person of Jesus Christ himself. Only Christ Himself saves us and keeps us.

Read Judges, Kings, and Chronicles sometime. Israel's fruit became rotten shortly after Jericho fell, and it got worse from there. When did the Lord leave Israel?
And then there's that parable of the wheat and the tares ...
