Canisius College a Jesuit institution has invited an open homosexual activist, Dustin Lance Black, to talk about Leadership for Equal Rights: GLBT Equality. According to the colleges web site, the lecture is scheduled on March 10 as part of a Leadership Series program.
The web site post is here: http://www.canisius.edu/campus_leader/workshops.asp
Not only is Black a homosexual activist and screenwriter for the movie Milk, but he is also a board member of the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER), which sponsored a federal court challenge to overturn Prop. 8 the 2008 amendment that defends traditional marriage in California.
In a 2010 interview published in MetroWeekly, Black says:
we can't let them do what they did in Proposition 8 in 10 years the majority of the country will overwhelmingly want to vote in favor of gay marriage, and that will be because we've changed all of the folks in America Its like Paris Barclay said, Its gonna have to come through things like films, television, books and most importantly, people telling their personal stories to their neighbors and co-workers and families. That will have to happen culturally.
Ah, these students may have learned when these special interest groups refer to equality; they are not referring to equality to anyone but themselves literally.
I am proud of my school!!
I shot against Canisius as a member of the U of Akron rifle team. Good for them.
I don’t know about now, but in the 1980’s there seemed to me to be quite a few homosexuals in the Jesuit Order itself.
I'm glad you missed :-)
The atheistic socialists know most of man is fairly stupid and perverse and that we will vote away and fight against every single right we have, in an effort to take someone else’s right away from them. We'll open up the door and beg government to enforce our perversity.
A simple instance: smoking... it is just fine we make it “illegal” to smoke in public places and we encourage astronomical taxes for smoking and we encourage insurance companies to raise insurance premiums for smokers, etc, etc.
We beg our government to oppress smokers everywhere and anytime - because we don't like them, and so, their rights to smoke should be taken away and they should be punished.
Soon, we will be begging the government to oppress Christians everywhere and anytime.
And a little later, we will be begging the government to oppress the sexual deviants, because one truth of their lifestyles will FINALLY be accepted for it is - a physically DEADLY and medically COSTLY lifestyle. Unfortunately, it will be far too late to have any good impact on mankind. At that point, man will no longer be mostly moral, religious or traditional. The deadliness and costliness of the sexual deviancy will only be acknowledged because it is in the best interest of the "state" to not have to pay to cure the sexually transmitted diseases and mental healthcare for these disordered properties.
Milk helps the twinkies go down.
What is it with Jesuits? Every time I hear about them, they sound worse than Pelosi’s San Fransicko crowd.
