He probably dug the fact that the artist put some "ordinary people" in the tapestries, representing the saints that nobody knows . . . not realizing that he was also going to put in a ton of famous saints - all quite recognizable.

I can see John Baptiste de la Salle, Moses the Black, and St. Thomas More in the first one, I think that's St. Andrew Dung-Lac the Vietnamese martyr, St. Aloysius Gonzaga and St. Cyril of Jerusalem in the second.
