I have a difficult time accepting anyone who denies substitutionary atonement as an evangelical.
Certain Methodists and other Arminian types actually do so, saying the cross was but the greatest example.....and some are very conservative regarding other things...however, without Jesus PAYING IT ALL, life is hopeless, regardless what Polyanna may say...
