I don’t think it is worth the risk. The incidence of predatory abuse of children is too high.
If a homosexual proclaims their homosexuality and then asks to be respected in a leadership position as a homosexual, then their primary objective is the acceptance of their sexuality, not the leadership.
This is true for homosexuals that want to be leaders in the Boy Scouts or military personnel.
As soon as sexuality becomes the primary objective, they lose the right to be leaders just based on their misplaced priorities.
Combine that the rate of abuse of children and I see very little difference between pedophiles and open homosexuals.
