I can tell who the people are who do not have a clue what Catholics believe. I am a Catholic and I know that Jesus Christ is my savior. And Mary was his mother.

And how many Catholics ignore their own church documents! That was the Catholic Website and that is a Catholic Document with NO REFUTATION.

Did you even bother to Look? I gave you the URL.

The worship of Mary continued with the idea that she was assumed sinless and bodily into heaven in 1950 by Pope Pius XII (Munificentissimus Deus) http://www.papalencyclicals.net/Pius12/P12MUNIF.HTM in it you will read:

4. That privilege has shone forth in new radiance since our predecessor of immortal memory, Pius IX, solemnly proclaimed the dogma of the loving Mother of God's Immaculate Conception.

Here Pope Pius XII remembers the document I wrote you about, which Pope Piux IX wrote. In it he defined the immaculate conception and that ALL SALVATION IS IN MARY. Then Pope Pius XII goes further:

5. Now God has willed that the Blessed Virgin Mary should be exempted from this general rule. She, by an entirely unique privilege, completely overcame sin by her Immaculate Conception, and as a result she was not subject to the law of remaining in the corruption of the grave, and she did not have to wait until the end of time for the redemption of her body.

What "general rule" is Pope Pius XII exempting her from? THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH!

6. Thus, when it was solemnly proclaimed that Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, was from the very beginning free from the taint of original sin, the minds of the faithful were filled with a stronger hope that the day might soon come when the dogma of the Virgin Mary's bodily Assumption into heaven would also be defined by the Church's supreme teaching authority.

What is this saying? That Mary was "free for the taint of original sin". That not only was she free from sin but never had the original sin from Adam! Not even it's taint.

There is one only who never tasted sin other than to bear the sin of folks like us on the Cross - The Lord Jesus Christ. There is only one who entered Heaven based upon His own merit - The Lord Jesus Christ. There is only one who paid the price in His own blood for the sins of folks like you and me - the Lord Jesus Christ. There is Salvation in no other.

Read the documents. Read the UBI Primam of 1849 and see that ALL SALVATION is given to Mary by Pope Pius IX, see the Catholic URL "Munificentissimus Deus" in 1950 where because of her sinlessness she is given merit by Pope Pius XII to enter heaven.

Then ask yourself the question - Where is Salvation found, in Mary, or in the Lord Jesus Christ? Who was the Sinless one who alone is worthy to be praised, who paid the price for sin, once upon the Cross for all time (Hebrews 10).

Chose this day whom you will trust - Salvation in Mary, or Salvation in Christ?

And just so you will know this is a Real Issue. Notice the word SALVIATI and who is seated on the Throne:

On the one hand, I see a bunch of old queens in red embroidered dresses sitting around obsessing about virginity. But then I see a bunch of black clad sexually repressed misogynist protestants obsessing about idolatry and how evil women are, all of course in the 19th century since we’re all fully enlightened. Neither seems to me to be what salvation is all about.

I’m a practicing RC who spends a chunk of every day reading the Bible and saying the Rosary. I listen to Christian radio. The Bible I’ve been reading now for years is the NIV. I don’t choose to exclude any of my devotions since they all have helped me grow.

Are you sure about your salvation and your eternal destiny? Salvation is not in the rosary. Salvation is not found in man, nor found by worrying about misogynists. It is a very serious issue. If you put your trust in anything other than the Lord Jesus Christ, it is not salvation.

Do you understand this?

Sweetie, you worry about your salvation and I’ll worry about mine. I actually don’t worry if that tells you anything. If you think you have the magic formula all tied down, good for you.

This tells me that you believe salvation is whatever you believe it to be. The only thing I can say about that is that it is not a good defense before God. God is utterly Holy and the Bible, you said you read, shows the hope of peace and life with Him in Eternity.

I've brought up the relevant facts, quoted the Catholic Websites, the relevant scriptures and been patient. If folks chose to ignore the evidence, that is up to them. The Bereans did not do so, they checked out what was said and for them they found real salvation. My hopes that folks who see this would do the same and find the Savior - the Lord Jesus Christ, putting their faith upon Him and Him alone for salvation and meet them in heaven above.

Adue
