That ejection seat theology must be comforting. Funny how the apostles never had that option. Most of them (along with their families) met brutal deaths.

If He didnt spare his own, he wont spare you.

AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:37).

Let us now go to the book of Genesis and learn more about the days of Noah.

GOD FORETOLD THE NUMBER OF YEARS UNTIL THE COMING JUDGMENT

God revealed to Noah that man’s days would be another 120 years until the judgment would come:

“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years” (Genesis 6:3).

Jesus said that Christians would have tribulation during their lives on this earth. God never promised to always protect Christians from the tribulations which come as a result of living in a fallen, evil world. We will have tribulation because we live in a world of which Satan is the "god of this age". Christians have always had tribulations and will continue to until they die.

The seven-year Tribulation is a specific event; a judgment on this world that is controlled by and sent by God.

Christians will have tribulations but we will not go through the God-sent judgment known as the Tribulation.

I’m watching for some guy to get up in the UN and announce he has the answers to everything. Like “all ya’ll stop fighting, ya hear?. I have the answers to your problems. And Okay, let the Jews build their temple again”. Him, I’d be watching real careful. Then if he gets assassinated, then comes back to life a bit later then all bets are off.

What did Jesus say in Matthew 24????

Jesus was saying about the days of Noah:

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood THEY were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took THEM all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matt. 24:37-39).

THEY were eating and drinking. THEY were marrying and giving in marriage. THEY knew not until the flood came and took THEM all away. Who were THEY? THEY were the unbelievers.

The unbelievers knew not until the flood came and took THEM all away. But, as the time drew nigh, THE BELIEVERS KNEW the exact day before the fact!

“BUT AS THE DAYS OF NOE WERE, SO SHALL ALSO THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN BE.”

Jesus gave an updated revelation to the church:

“If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee” (Revelation 3:3).

A person who is diligent and aware is always looking out. Always alert to what is happening. Not taking things for granted and not trying to plug in events to preconceived ideas. Blessings.

Actually, the Rapture is detailed in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, John 14:3 - long before Revelation.

Also, Scripture says when Jesus returns (Rev. 19:18), an army follows Him. The army's members are riding on white horses, and they are clothed in fine linen that is white and clean. In Revelation 19:8, we are told that the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. These are the Church-age Christians who were raptured into Heaven seven years previously.

The Scripture is more than clear that there will be an event in which Christians, both those who have died and those who are still alive, will be taken up to meet Christ and will never again be separated from Him.

And actually the word "Rapture" can be found in the Latin Vulgate so yes, the word "Rapture" is in the Bible. But, since the word "Bible" isn't in the Bible, does that mean that the Bible doesn't exist?

Do you really believe it will be that cut and dry, and so very apparent????

Okay- Let’s look at the scenario.

A Man comes out of the Middle East and actually brings Peace to the Arabs and the Jews/Israel...In fact all of admire him, think he has all the right qualifications, merits and global advice to finally bring Peace, in fact he brings a *Peace treaty* that is signed for 7 years between the Israeli’s and the Palestinians...

What is the Christian world doing? sitting on thier duffs, saying hmmm... sounds like the Antichrist, but you never know..

That does not make a lick of sense...

To: TaraP; cookcounty

I think verse 47 supports cookcounty’s assertions to “be found busy”.

Be careful of that “you have no oil”, business. The biggest mistake the foolish virgins made when they found they had no oil was to leave the house in search of oil. Hence when they returned(with oil presumably) they weren’t allowed into the wedding. Hence it wasn’t just about “the oil” since the virgins were able to procur some. It would have been better for the “oiless” virgins to have stayed in the house and begged forgiveness of the bride and groom! The message wasn’t just about spiritual prep(the oil), it was about leaving the scene of the impending wedding!

God will protect his children during the Tribulaton. The Tribulation will be visited on the unbelievers. God knows who his children are and where they are. Where the Bible says that we will be caught up to be with Him, where is Yashua heading? To earth. Are we supposedly going to be taken by Him to Heaven and then He returns again? That would make three times He’s come then. No, we will meet him in the air when He comes and always be with Him - as He comes to earth to end the Tribulation.

Nope, not really. It’ll be real subtle. People living during WWII thought Hitler the anti-Christ and Mussolini was the little horn. You have to be aware and diligent. Know your scriptures.

What part of Scripture indicates that the 144,000, whom God specifically states are 12,000 men from each of the twelve tribes of Israel, are to be allegorized?

Can you cite the part of Scripture which states that the very specific explanation of who these people are isn't to be taken as God described them, but are to be allegorized into actually meaning the church?

Thanks.

Before 1947, any person thinking the world was ending and Jesus was returning, was based on one devastating event such as a natural disaster or a plague etc...

The Prophetic Clock started with Israel-1947

Exactly. A man building a ship in the middle of a desert in a world that had never seen rain was most certainly laughed at and ridiculed.

The laughter stopped the minute God shut up the Ark and the rain started.

And the mocking and laughing and scoffing about the Scriptural truth of the return of Christ will come to a screeching halt as well. And very soon.

You have to be kidding?

With the Internet, Social Media? this would burn like fire on a bale of hay...

Everyone would be facebooking, tweeting, emailing, freepering.

If anyone now heard of a 7 yr peace treaty being enacted between Israel and Palestine it would go global in minutes...

Gazillion hits on Youtube as well...
