McCloskey was also wanted by the New York State Police in Lysander and the Hudson Police Department for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Is this equal treatment under the law or are priests allowed to be charged with "unauthorized use of a motor vehicle" rather than CAR THEFT which is grand larceny?

Um, it says he was “also wanted” by these other departments for those offenses. It doesn’t say that is what he is being charged with for this offense.
