She married for love, my Father was LDS, a scandle, and when he died young, 46, beat us until we excelled in school, she sent us all to private schools at great sacrifice.
She taught me to love the English Language and the literature it has produced by reading the Poets and the Bard as a nap time story.
She married again at 60 and he passed away two years ago. A vibrant and active woman passed from us.
I’m sure you will miss her.
My mom is 90, a tough old Swede/Scotch-Irish and until two years ago, mowed her yard with a riding mower. She is near the end now...
Condolences to you and your family. Glad you shared a little about her with us. Sorry she left in such violent manner.
I have some wonderful memories of a PEI visit when my Dad was alive and my daughter was very small.
May the Good Lord take her into his loving arms.
I’m so sorry for your loss Bill. My prayers are with you.
That fact that your mom was still driving and enjoying life at 90 says a lot about her.
Prayers for her.
I’ve spent some time on Prince Edward Island. A beautiful place.
Prayers up for strength to you and your family, Bill.
God Bless.
Condolences, LB. My Mom passed at 83 last August and not a day goes by that I don’t think of her and Dad. No matter how old you are, it is traumatic becoming an orphan and realizing that the old generation is gone. I know that sounds silly, but it really is true. My Dad was a real strong guy and the only time I saw him cry was at his mother’s funeral...and she passed at 99.
Prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.
My prayers for you, your mother and family. May she already be singing “Danny Boy” with old and new friends in Heaven, awaiting your reunion many years down the road.
Prayers for the family.
Prayers for peace and comfort for you and your family, Little Bill.
You have my sincere sympathies, Little Bill. She sounds like a remarkable woman.
Every word you wrote describes my mother-in-law (died at age 92). Heaven forbid she would hear a curse word or see someone drinking alcohol. She could whittle the brashest person down to a speck with just a few "nice" words.
Condolences to you and your family.
I’m so sorry for your loss, dear Little Bill. You’ve written beautifully about your cherished Mom. Praise our Lord that she was on her way to her Bridge Club on the eve of her 90 birthday so she was happy when she went into our Lord’s loving arms!
May God bless and comfort you and your family.
Please accept my condolences. Lost my own Mom 11 years ago, and I miss her still. Prayers for your family, and a hug.
How wonderful it was for you to have had such a great spunky Mom for so many years. Prayers for you, your family and her friends who were expecting her for bridge. She will always be with you, just in another dimension. And do remember - Your Mom can now see everything you do.
Little Bill,
I’m so sorry for your loss and at the same time so happy cause the world was a better place for having her.
GOD bless.
My condolences to you and yours.
May her soul be bound in the bonds of eternity, and may G-d comfort you and yours at this time.
I am sorry. I’m glad she went quickly, doing something she enjoyed. But it is very hard on you. My prayers and thoughts are with you, your family and her friends.
