This guy isn’t going to be executed. How is this justice being served?

Agreed. Justice would have been served if his public hanging was televised by all the lamestream media networks.

Real justice would be to slaughter a hog in front of this monster making sure that lots of the blood got on him. Then to sew him up tightly in the fresh skin and hoisting him up by that skin in the hot sun until the drying skin slowly crushed him to death and to then leave him hanging until it all rotted away. But that just the way I feel about anyone who murders their child.

As with other state laws, the prosecution has to prove one of several aggravating circumstances for capital punishment to be possible. Plain old ordinary premeditated murder doesn't usually qualify.

If the other lady he ran over had also died, things might have been different.

Personally, I think most people who commit first-degree murder should be executed, with imprisonment the rare exception to the general rule. But the Court doesn't agree with me.
