So they are choosing between following Christ or worshipping their building? Who is “the church”? The people or the building?
Yes, agreed, the people are the church. What I am saying is that I have read about other situations like this where gay/lesbian activists have driven ordinary people away from a church and then remain in possession of the church’s propeerty, sort of a power grab. A money grab. And it was ordinary people’s contributions that built the church and the community halls etc.
It's really not about either. It's about Christ. I don't think they are worshiping the building; rather, they are worshiping themselves.
