I wonder if they might merge with Youngstown or Columbus. Steubenville is by far the smallest of the six Ohio Dioceses. In terms of Catholic population, these are the three smallest sees in Ohio, and Steubenville is by far the smallest (one sixth the size of Youngstown and one seventh the size of Columbus).
