Nice piece - a bit dated, I think. Armstrong did a series of large bronzes for Ave Maria School of Law.

Marton Varo is also worth a look. He did the large Annunciation of Ave Maria for Ave Maria University's chapel.

Very nice! I didn’t know that Armstrong did those. We have a series of lectures on video tape by him covering art history.

My personal opinion - don't like the way he handles his draperies. Cloth doesn't hang like that - thick vinyl does however.

14th c. anonymous ivory of the Virgin and Child:

St. Thomas More, by Pablo Eduardo, a modern Bolivian sculptor.

The feet seem a bit clumsy, but I love the movement and the rugged features.
