New York approved a gay marriage bill Friday, making it the sixth state in the country to legalize homosexual unions.

We are pleased to see this measure taken in such an influential political state.

..While many of us may not exactly condone that lifestyle, to deny a same-sex couple the same rights as a heterosexual couple is wrong.

..The only factor that should make a difference in deciding to spend your life with another person is love and faithfulness

Many argue homosexual unions go against the sanctity of marriage according to their religious beliefs.

We believe the divorce rate in this country goes against the sanctity of marriage more than same-sex marriages.

In our generation, it seems as though people enter and exit marriages on a whim and don’t think about the commitment involved.

If any two adults feel they can reasonably make a marriage last “till death do they part,” then who are we to stop them?

What this victory in New York symbolizes is hope.

Hope that tolerance is coming and hope that one day people will understand.

Marriage should be a right for all

It already is. There is no sexual orientation prerequisite for getting married. A gay man has the same right to marry a woman as a straight man has. Conversely, a gay man has the same prohibition against marrying a man as a straight man does.

Well, polygamy is logically perhaps the next surprise thing we will get bombarded with in not too much time from now. Why the networks need to show those shows about polygamous families, I have no idea. Perhaps the one thing that restrains polygamy from being such a forward issue right now is the fact that Judaism, Islam, and more recently, both the Nation of YHVH and Mormonism are the practicioners, and they despise these groups for practicing it. I wish people would just agree to either throwing it away at the generation now or be deported elsewhere for the practice of polygamy. And yes, my feelings about the ACLU on the matter for a few attorneys suggesting polygamy getting decriminalized would be to back off.

Simply having relationships with each other is not enough, at least for some of them. The real issue with wanting the relationships to be called marriage is about irritating the religious. In case some people don’t realize, identity politics is about people having to convince themselves that they are helpless against a hateful world. If gay pride wasn’t so prominent, if plenty of homosexuals, or anyone else, actually bothered using legal weapon ownership to defend themselves, and fought to uphold their second amendment rights, then the homosexual agenda would be out of business, plain and simple.
