Well I will keep praying for you. Obviously, it was hard for you to walk the walk.

Best of luck to you. Life’s hard I know, but hang in there. Try to find peace and happiness. I know its not easy when you are filled with such hate. Take care.

Ahhh yes. It’s always the “weak” member who has now begun to “hate” the church routine with TBM’s. It can’t possibly be that the “weak” member was actually stronger and had an infinitely greater amount of courage to actually seek out the truth and walk away from the “church” once the truth and saving grace of Christ was discovered.

Let me guess, next you’ll say we were “offended”, had “thin skin” and couldn’t deal with some “insult”.

Did you know that the ex-mo sites are gaining new members almost everyday? More and more, the truth about mormonism is being found out. Those poor folks are so confused, so torn and ostracized by family and those who were once their “friends”. It’s sad to see what the “church” is doing to otherwise good people.

The truth about mormonism cannot be stopped. The “church” and her members can attempt to deny it and/or try to hide it, but they can’t stop it from coming out.

We pray for you and all mormons who have been “conditioned” to repeat the false witness spoken by your so-called “prophets”.

I count those among us who left as the strong ones. Those who had the courage to turn their back on a system of mind numbing control. Those who had the conviction to seek the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Not constrained by a myriad of rules and rote, heretical rituals that can’t even be found in the mormon “scripture”, let alone the Bible.

Oh where oh were to begin...

First of all you make many assumptions. Mormons tend to assume people left the LDS church for one or more of several reasons. Like you stated you assume I ‘couldn’t live the gospel’. That is a common one. Others are:

They never had a testimony
They were offended
They didn’t want to pay tithing
They didn’t understand Mormon doctrine
They wanted to sin

None of these are true in my case, nor in most ex-mo cases. I was a VERY GOOD Mormon, lived the LDS gospel better than most Mormons, had a great grasp on LDS theology and teachings, better than most LDS even. I didn’t want to sin, I was a full tithepayer, had a strong testimony, temple attender, wasn’t offended etc.

My life after Mormonism got a lot easier, simply because I came to the Christ of the Bible and was no longer trying to earn godhood (aka exaltation), rather Christ saved me, I no longer had to save myself. I didn’t ‘sin’ as the LDS think of it (stayed a virgin till I was married even, never smoke drank or did drugs, etc).

Why did I leave? I left because I set out to me a Mormon apologist and ‘prove’ the antis wrong. I studied both Greek and Hebrew in order to prove the Bible was corrupt and discovered that it was not corrupted and that there were not ‘plain an precious things’ removed. I studied church history in order to ‘prove’ the ‘great apostasy’, and discovered there wasn’t one. I learned to read Egyptian hieroglyphs to ‘prove’ the Book of Abraham was ‘true’ and discovered there was no way it could be. I studied LDS church history only to discover that it wasn’t as nicey nice as the LDS propaganda machine puts forth. I spend months going over ORIGINAL SOURCES only to discover that my ‘church’ was lying to me, even down to the number of ‘first vision’ accounts and their contents. I poured over books of Biblical archeology looking for any clue of evidence for the Book of Mormon and there was none, even though there was TONS of evidence for the Bible and early Church history. Over and over again I discovered, that contrary to my ‘feelings’ about the LDS church, none of it was true nor could it ever be true.

In short, I ‘studied’ myself out of Mormonism. Coming to the Christ of the Bible came later. Only after I left Mormonism (about 6 months) did I hear the true Gospel of Grace. That I didn’t need to ‘do my part’. That I wasn’t saved ‘after all I could do’. What I could do was NOTHING. What I needed to do was only accept what Christ has ALREADY done for me on the Cross. As I studied the Bible, on my own, I slowly came to the realization that ALL of Mormon doctrine is unbiblical. That Christ was not the spirit brother of any of us, much less Lucifer. Christ alone has the title of High Priest and to assume we as mortals can hold a priesthood that only belongs to Him is blaspehmy, there are no temple rituals like the LDS use in the Bible and all of the LDS ‘proof’ texts in the Bible are twisted and that the Bible actually teaches the OPPOSITE of Mormon doctrine. It was then that I could give my life to Christ and start living for HIM rather than it always being about ‘me’.

Your posts are perfect examples of this ‘me’ of Mormonism. You stated “I am a full tithe payer” “I teach Sunday School” Me Me Me. Which is proof the LDS are not Christians at all. For the Christian it isn’t about “ME” it is about Christ and HIM alone. It isn’t about a ‘church’, it is about Christ and serving Him. It isn’t about paying 10%, it is about giving your all and giving however much God leads you to. That is what Grace is about. Christ changed me and I could never go back to being the typical Mormon, the selfish godseeking type as so many have seen appear on these threads.

You assume I’m full of hated (both at this post and one directly above). Show me where the hatred is? Am I angry? Yes, at Mormonism for lying to me and its members and for leading people to Hell. In fact, it is similar to Jesus cleansing the temple, the closer and longer I walk with the Lord, the madder I get at the Mormon cult for what it does to people and families, especially those who leave. But I don’t hate Mormons, in fact I feel pity and sorrow for them, for they are trying to earn something (salvation) that Christ gives freely.

As far as ‘giving it up’. NEVER. Never will I give up on one soul trapped in Mormonism. They will have to deny the grace of Christ and the true gospel of grace on their own accord, not because I did not tell them the truth. And if they are mad at me,, so be it. I came to Christ and left Mormonism because an ‘anti’ ticked me off enough to try to prove him wrong. What I discovered was the ‘antis’ were right and Mormonism was a lie from the pit of Hell.

I will pray that God will open your eyes, as he has many others here on FR and elsewhere. The Christ of the Bible is waiting for you to denounce Smith and Mormonism.

You accuse someone caring for your immortal soul of being 'Filled with such hate?' ... Your soul is more lost than you can even imagine when you can call love, hate. When you can make your heart have pity on those who love you enough to tell you the truth, knowing people just like you will accuse them of hating ... well, if we keep praying for you and continue to post the heresies at the heart of Mormonism, perhaps you too will come alive in The Grace of God in Christ. We'll see

Here are but a few of the blasphemies your founders of Mormonism have taught LDS members, quoted right in the LDS documents. See how many of these heresies you consider Mormon truth:

In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and people it. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 5, 1844)

I will go back to the beginning, before the world was, to show what kind of a being God is. What sort of a being was God in the beginning? Open your ears and hear, all ye ends of the earth; for I am going to prove it to you by the Bible, and to tell you the designs of God in relation to the human race, and why he interferes with the affairs of man. God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted Man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. That is the great secret. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 3, 1844)

"I learned a testimony concerning Abraham, and he reasoned concerning the Gods of heaven. '...Intelligences exist one above another, so that there is no end to them.' If Abraham reasoned thus--If Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and John discovered that God the Father of Jesus Christ had a Father, you may suppose that He had a Father also. ... Hence if Jesus had a Father, can we not believe that He had a Father also? I despise the idea of being scared to death at such a doctrine, for the Bible is full of it. I want you to pay particular attention to what I am saying. Jesus said that the Father wrought precisely in the same way as His Father had done before Him. As the Father had done before? He laid down His life, and took it up the same as His Father had done before. (Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 373)

"Endowed with agency and subject to eternal laws, man began his progression and advancement in pre-existence, his ultimate goal being to attain a state of glory, honor, and exaltation like the Father of spirits. During his earth life he gains a mortal body, receives experience in earthly things, and prepares for a future eternity after the resurrection when he will continue to gain knowledge and intelligence. (D. & C. 130:18-19.) This gradually unfolding course of advancement and experience -- a course that began in a past eternity and will continue in ages future -- is frequently referred to as a course of eternal progression." (For the math challenged, there is no such thing as a different or past eternity separate from the eternity we are traveling now. This flimflam approach to fibbing is prevalent in Mormonism. If something began then it had a beginning, so it was either created or came to be ex nihilo.)
"Those who gain exaltation, having thus enjoyed the fullness of eternal progression, become like God." It should be realized that God is not progressing in knowledge, truth, virtue, wisdom, or any of the attributes of godliness. He has already gained these things in their fullness. But he is progressing in the sense that his creations increase, his dominions expand, his spirit offspring multiply, and more kingdoms are added to his domains. (Elder Bruce McConkie, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, pp. 5-10.) (So far the teaching from Mormon leadership has left choices: either everything has always existed without ever being created, or the god of Mormonism was on equal standing with each of us in some nebulous past eternity of pre-existence, or everything is created but distributed into separate eternities.)

"We were begotten by our Father in Heaven; the person of our Father in Heaven was begotten on a previous heavenly world by His Father; and again, He was begotten by a still more ancient Father; and so on, from generation to generation, ... we wonder in our minds, how far back the genealogy extends, and how the first world was formed, and the first father was begotten" (Orson Pratt, The Seer, p.132).

"Some people are troubled over the statements of the Prophet Joseph Smith.... The matter that seems such a mystery is the statement that our Father in heaven at one time passed through a life and death and is an exalted man. This is one of the mysteries.... The Prophet taught that our Father had a Father and so on. Is not this a reasonable thought, especially when we remember that the promises are made to us that we may become like him?" (Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, pp.10, 12).

In the very beginning the Bible shows there is a plurality of Gods beyond the power of refutation. It is a great subject I am dwelling on. ... The heads of the Gods appointed ONE God for us... (Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 372)

Son, if you haven't stopped reading because your demon possessed bosom is burning, that last assertion from your religious leadership IS BLASPHEMY. The God of the Bible did not have to earn the attributes of godhood, but your false christianity of mormonism teaches that heresy. Please, dig into the teaching of LDS inc and see the blasphemies before they consume your immortal soul.
