At the creation of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) last August the Rev. Paull (sic) Spring was elected interim Bishop.

Bishop Spring was "installed" through a service which included the singing of Veni Creator and the laying of hands by Bishops including a Tanzanian who is within the apostolic succession. "Installed" is in quotes because thie more closely resembled an episcopal consecration.

By contrast, only former ELCA Bishops took part in this installation.

Also worthy of note is that there were three others on the ballot for Bishop, all of whom are members of the Society of the Holy Trinity. The "evangelical catholic" vote was thus split among three allowing Bradosky to be elected on the first ballot.

52% is a low bar for first ballot election. By contrast, ELCA constitutions require a supermajority of 3/4 (75%).

I’m not certain from your post, whether you are expressing skepticism or approval of Bishop Brodosky.

Would you clarify your remarks please, for those of us not in the loop?
