A child pass through the security and shakes the hand to Pope Benedict XVI as he arrives to participate in the Way of the Cross ceremony with young people as part of the World Youth Day festivities in central Madrid, August 19, 2011.

It was a challenge to find any images from this event. The msm have posted images of protesters, pilgrims fainting from the heat, and some truly nonsensical pictures. Not one of the photos shoed the actual procession. My interpretation is their fear of the cross of Christ.

It’s been on EWTN a lot. Don’t they have photos? I would like to be there.

I agree with your interpretation.

I’m waiting for photos from friends of mine who are there. ;-)

I am not surprised by the lack of good reporting on this major event the msm. This just not only confirms what Archbishop Chaput has been complaining about in regards to the MSM, but also IMHO, CONFIRMS that they (the MSM) ARE AFRAID of not only the Cross of Christ, but the good news of the Gospel. Also I am waiting for those 9 teen/young adult WYD 2011 pilgrims from my parish to give their accounts.
