At heart, Italy where there is no compulsory sex education in schools is one of the countries which is better off from this point of view: here young people have a lower risk of disease and early pregnancy. I wonder how this author would explain Italy's 1.3 total fertility rate. An epidemic of celibacy?

Kids live at home until they are in their thirties. It was much the same way in Ireland seventy years ago.
