People have free will, they can choose to defy God, and his will, as Ellison has, and they will reap their eternal reward.

I am a convert to Catholicism, I don’t hold the church responsible for Ellison choosing to leave the church and become a Muslim. That was his decision.

Evangelism requires that a person’s heart be open towards God. Not everyone is open to him.

Oh, I agree. However, it is not something to gloat over. We have lost a soul and I believe that it counts as a failure. I don't hold the Church responsible, perhaps certain individuals in it, but overall, a soul lost is still a soul lost.
