Read on a little further. He welcomed them, but told them point blank that what they were doing was considered a sin. I don't know who this guy is, but I like what I've seen so far.
I read the entire article-three times now. He states that sex should be between a man and a woman, homosexuality is not an "alternative". God has defined it. Doesn't sound very forceful in my opinion.
Why beat around the bush? If he wants to preach on wrongful "sex in the church" then he should be preaching on the WHOLE topic. If he's going to tell people that addition to pronography is sin and the church is corrupted by it (which is true), then he might as well say the same thing about homosexuality with the same force. There is absolutely no need to apologize for anything. He is absolutely wrong with apologizing for the church behavior on homosexuality while other sins remain. What's that all about? The problem is that the church hasn't been as equally harsh on pronography.
I'm not impress. Frankly, it sounds simply like more sensationalism to me that these megachurches crave.
