He probably should fear the civil war if Obama wins again. If it already hasn’t happened by then.
to # 5..that’s my forecast as well. It’s beginning to seem inevitable because the chasm between the 2 philosophies is too big to bridge peacefully.....and they are a violent and hostile bunch.

The reality is that it really doesn’t matter who wins in 2012, the country seems to be so ideologically divided that some sort of breakup is coming down the line.
If that time comes, it probably will _not_ be conservatives who start the hostilities. I believe the conservative cohort of America (perhaps soon-to-be a “post American” Commonwealth of North American States) would prefer a peaceful separation, wishing only to be left alone and go their own way in pursuit of their own ideals.
It is _the left_ that will resort to violence to prevent them from going. That violence will most likely be used under the auspices of the federal government, but ultimately it will be those in the military who decide whether such a separation will be peaceful or violent.
