The vicar of the the coredemtress has instilled dogma of liturgical enlightenment in paraphrasing the ecumenical....blah blah blah

Could someone put this all in English? PLEASE!!!!

I also love how the FOX article supposedly lists the core teachings that must be accepted....and then doesn’t actually list them.

Could someone please please please spell out in simple terms what EXACTLY are the differences?

Is it Alter girls?
Is it the non latin mass?
Is it not kneeling when receiving communion?

(Sorry for the frustration...I really want to understand what the heck is going on)

What you listed were not really changed in Vatican II — just as abstinence from meat on Fridays was not changed.

What happened, however, is that some Bishops, many of them American Bishops, teneded to look for loop holes and thus made the Mass more Protestant. I know this isn’t a good explanation, because there is more to the matter than this.

I don’t think any of us really like what some of the Bishops did.

They aren't making the contents of the "Preamble" public just yet. That's so SSPX can talk it over without having to do so publicly.

The SSPX will of course insist on the right to celebrate the TLM, but that's not a problem; several groups already celebrate the TLM exclusively.

A bigger problem is the validity of the ordinary form (Novus Ordo) Mass. SSPX will have to accept that and do so clearly.

Then there are things Vatican II said about religious freedom and the salvation of non-Catholics. Some of those can be agree-to-disagree issues, but none of them can be "SSPX is free to call Rome heretical" issues.
