I just received a flyer about this in the weekly bulletin at our parish church and thought people on the Catholic ping list might like to know about it. Its the speakers list for the International Week of Prayer and Fasting to be held at the National Shrine in Washington DC.
Speakers on October 1 include Kevin Malarkey, the father of the six-year-old-boy who was shown heaven while he was in a two-month coma; Alex Jones, the former evangelical minister, now a Catholic deacon; Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life (wonder if hes going to be allowed to come, now that his bishop wants him to stay close to home?); Dr. Gloria Polo, a South American dentist who had a near-death experience in which the Lord seriously straightened her out; Rev. Clement Machado, whom we see on EWTN; and Ted Flynn, an expert on Marian apparitions. And of course its free. Talks are to run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Mass at 12:15 p.m.
Here's the link to the program. You can register online for free tickets (though of course you are encouraged to chip in). The Hope of Nations
As requested!
That’s a different flyer than the one I posted about. Thanks so much for drawing it to my attention (and everyone else’s).
