I think Perry realizes he's already blown it and won't be the nominee and wants to do all the damage he can to Snitt Romney. Maybe Perry thinks Cain will pick him for VP if he hurts Romney enough and maybe, however unlikely for a life long politician, Perry just deeply believes what the pastor said and sees no reason why he should apologize for stating facts. One thing is for sure, the Mormon missionaries that visited a neighbor just a few weeks ago were all happy about Romney running, almost as happy as they were to tell the little old lady that she was on the way to Hell for being part of an Independent Evangelical church and that all the non-Mormon churches were wrong, leading people to hell, and in no way Christian. I guess when you're in the cult you can say things that those outside shouldn't, right?

If Romney wants to get someone to start being nice about religion, he can start with those snot nosed kids and then wring the necks of a few Mormon bishops who have said the same things in public many times. If Snitt does that, then I'll think he may have something in mind other than trying to look like “poor widdle Snitt, they're picking on him for his religion” the same way poor widdle Barry acted back in 2008. That gambit isn't going to work a second time so please, no one tell Snitt that he's making a fool of himself every time he brings chit like this up.

Maybe Perry is following Hank Jr’s example. Tell them to go to hell and don’t apologize.

I don’t think Romney will ever disavow anything the church teaches. Then again, I’ve been told by ex mormons that’s it’s okay to lie. What other religion teaches that? Oh, yeah. THE MUSLIMS!
