you didn't take the time to cross reference the text to the Tanakh

Sorry FRiend..I simply used the online NASB which happens to be cross referenced thoroughly. Hebrews 1 asserts father and his son....but when you check the Tanach quoted in the text...it says nothing about a father and HIS son. It refers to Solomon, or David or Israel. Therefore, Hebrews is flawed.

Red Heifer sacrifice for atonement for sin

Red Heifer was for purifying people who had touched a corpse...Matt, Mark and John all say he was killed at Golgotha...and Jesus was dead before...the roman stabbed him with the spear. The Cross is a suffocation machine...from a Christian site:

the mechanism of death in crucifixion was suffocation. To breathe, the victim was forced to push up on his feet to allow for inflation of the lungs. As the body weakened and pain in the feet and legs became unbearable, the victim was forced to trade breathing for pain and exhaustion. Eventually, the victim would succumb in this way, becoming utterly exhausted or lapsing into unconsciousness so that he could no longer lift his body off the stipes and inflate his lungs. Due to the shallow breathing, the victim’s lungs would begin to collapse in areas, probably causing hypoxia.

Hence, not a blood sacrifice. He suffocated. If you suffocated say....a ram. He would no longer be acceptable as a sacrifice. The sacrifice would be treif. No good. Nor was his body burned as a red heifer, his ashes not mixed with water and sprinkled with hyssop..

I usually avoid midrash when engaging in polemics. The only thing that matters is P'shat.

BTW, I wasnt expecting that you would respond line by line...Shalom....

This still doesn't clear up the fact that I thought I was midrashing respectfully with someone who was giving as much thought and attention to Scripture as I have rather than personal religious views based on who knows what.

Red Heifer was for purifying people who had touched a corpse

As I said, it would have helped your position had you actually studied the purpose.

The Divine ordinance of purification through the ashes of the
RED HEIFER,
as outlined in the book of Numbers, chapter 19

Biblical law is concerned with several types of impurity which have a direct affect on everyday life, especially when the Holy Temple is standing. The most severe type of impurity is that which is caused by exposure to death. There are several methods for restoring purity, most notably immersion in water - but the Bible's exclusive antidote to the impurity of death is purification by sprinkling of the red heifer's ashes. Many of the thousands who arrived at the Holy Temple had to undergo this process before they could enter into the Court.
Special Requirements

The ordinance of the red heifer has detailed requirements which must be met. Some of these are directly relayed in the Biblical verses of Numbers chapter 19; many others were transmitted orally to Moses and than passed down by the rabbis throughout the generations, until the present day. These are expounded upon in the writings of the Oral Tradition.

The heifer must be three years old and perfect in its redness. This means that the presence of as few as two hairs of any other color will render it invalid; it is related that for this reason, the red heifer was always very expensive to procure. Even its hooves must be red. It must also be totally free from any physical blemish or defect, whether internal or external.

Although the red heifer is not a sacrifice per se, for it is not slaughtered in the Temple, it is forbidden that the heifer should possess any of those blemishes which render any sacrifice invalid - such as those enumerated in the book of Leviticus, chapter 22. The red heifer also has an additional, unique requirement: it must have never been used to perform any physical labor. In fact, using the animal in any physical sense at all would render it invalid, even for the slightest, most minor thing. This would include riding, or even leaning on her. The only exception would be some labor which is intrinsically necessary for the heifer's own welfare, such as tying her for her own safety. But if a yoke were placed upon her even once, even if she were not used to plow - this would be enough to render the heifer unfit for use. Thus Scripture states, “that a yoke never went on.”

The commandment calls for the animal to be a “heifer,” that is, 3 or 4 years old; although an older animal could also be used. Since the verse instructs us to take a heifer, we do not purchase a calf and wait for it to grow older while in our custody; “and take a heifer” means that the act of acquisition has to take place while the animal is a heifer. However, if a red calf is available, a price can be set with its owner, and the transaction can be concluded, but we do not take possession until it reaches the proper age as mandated by the Bible.

The animal which meets these requirements and others could be used to fulfill the commandment of providing the ashes for the purification process. This heifer must be brought to the “Mount of Annointment,” a precise location on the Mount of Olives, opposite the eastern gate of the Temple Mount. There the heifer must be slaughtered and burned. Afterwards, its ashes are mixed together with natural spring water. It is this solution, called by the Bible “the waters of sanctification,” which is used to sprinkle on those who are impure.

Numbers 19:1 ADONAI said to Moshe and Aharon, 2 "This is the regulation from the Torah which ADONAI has commanded. Tell the people of Isra'el to bring you a young red female cow without fault or defect and which has never borne a yoke. 3 You are to give it to El'azar the cohen; it is to be brought outside the camp and slaughtered in front of him. 4 El'azar the cohen is to take some of its blood with his finger and sprinkle this blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times. 5 The heifer is to be burned to ashes before his eyes -its skin, meat, blood and dung is to be burned to ashes ... 9 A man who is clean is to collect the ashes of the heifer and store them outside the camp in a clean place. They are to be kept for the community of the people of Isra'el to prepare water for purification from sin.

Not just for purification due to close contact with a dead body as one didn't even need to touch it to become unclean, they merely needed to within whispering range of one; but for atonement for sin which is the entire purpose of Yom Kippur. The red heifer was a shadow of Yah'shua and his death & resurrection as atonement for sin. It is why the scarlet ribbon/banner never again turned white from the immediate Yom Kippur after Yah'shua died to the year the temple was destroyed. Yah'shua represented the final Red Heifer. Never again will blood of any kind be shed as atonement for sin or for cleansing. http://www.templeinstitute.org/red_heifer/red_heifer_contents.htm

FYI...”Christ crucified” is a Christian derived phrase and is not a proper translation. As I said, getting a copy of David Stern's complete Jewish bible is a must for those seeking truth. Well, that and actually taking the words back to their origins to make sure the word used is a proper translation.

Hebrews 1 asserts father and his son....but when you check the Tanach quoted in the text...it says nothing about a father and HIS son. It refers to Solomon, or David or Israel

Sadly you didn't actually cross reference properly and check to make sure the NASB translated the Greek properly because had you, the truth would have been as plain as the nose on your face. I believe the basic e-sword, the link I gave you, is still available for free.

Shalom
