Out in the Real World, there are real female soldiers (and Seamen!), firefighters, police officers ... and, I suppose, ninjas and zombies.

I’m thinking that there are very few male only roles that a little girl would dress up in... A boy, IMHO, wouldn’t want to be a princess or a sprite (I would use the world fairy... double meaning and all but won’t)
